I tried the cleaning method some time ago. I can't remember what I used. But it dissolved some of the etched wiring behind the buttons!

Try not to use battery acid, for that reason. Better to visit Radio Shack for some real contact cleaner and a little brush or swab.

Saw an ad for the "new" Radio Shack on TV (During the SuperBowl?). Looks like we can no longer buy parts there! Joseph

Heck, I've been mad at them since they pulled out the Tube Testers....
