Winds aloft missing, USB hub observation

Same problem......my unit was working perfectly 2 flights ago (even got traffic). Flew same basic area yesterday.......no winds aloft, no traffic....

Traffic is going to be iffy for a long time to come, since it will only be broadcast in response to planes broadcasting ADSB signals. If there's no ADSB transmitter in the sky to "wake up" the traffic broadcast...well, then you won't get traffic....

Cobra, it's worse than that...even when the traffic transmitter is "woke up", it only includes traffic near the airplane with the transceiver.

Understand about the iffy traffic but I was surprised not to get any while flying through NY and Philly bravo.....there was more traffic in the sky than any other flight I have done (the 530 screen was covered in targets).

Seems odd that I did get traffic in less congested airspace a day or two earlier. For sure I would think some of the commercial flights have ads-b installed.....maybe we're the 1st real users of this tech?

Hi Dave,

Commercial traffic that has ADS-B installed will use 1090ES, as opposed to UAT. Unless an aircraft in the area is using a UAT, you will not see traffic on your skyradar. The NavWorx product (which is a tranceiver as opposed to a receiver) will provide reliable traffic.
