What exactly are you trying to do? Just do a serial cable setup? We only send out GPS data via NMEA

We ran a USB/serial cable from the iFly 740 to the JPI, but obviously we didn't connect it correctly.  The JPI requires a NMEA 183 input which it isn't getting the way we have it connected.  I was hoping someone on this forum had done it sucessfully.

I connected my 740 to my EDM830. It took several tries - Ifly support couldn't give me specifics, and JPI said :What's an Ifly?" I used a "Gearmo USB RS-232 Serial Adapter with LED Indicators", from Amazon, as well as a 90 Degree adapter/short cord to connect to the 740 & still fit well in my Airgizmos face plate. At this moment, I don't recall the settings, but I set it up as one of the real basic Garmin hand helds settings, as per the JPI instructions. I can check my notes when back at my hanger for specifics - but it can be done. It works very well.

Thanks for the info.  If you could check your notes for specifics that would help a lot.
