Hi. A question for anyone out there.

I have an iPad 2 (2014) with iFlyGPS on it but of course it doesn't have GPS. I am going to be using it with a Statux WAAS/AHRS box which should be available shortly.

Will the iFly use the GPS function of the Stratux as its GPS or should I be looking to:

a) Buy a new tablet like the Samsung which includes GPS

b) Buy a Bad Elf Pro (or not the pro) GPS ?

Thanks for any responses. If I don't get any I will post my own responce once I have tested with the Stratux for any future inquirers.

I've used my iPad Mini4 that is non cellular, and therefore (I understand) non GPS.  When I was connected to my Stratux it tracked me fine, so it seems to use the Stratux GPS fine.

Oh that's great. Thanks for the quick response. I bought the Stratux completed but also a PI4 development platform as I'd like to help out with it...I'll have to see how that goes.

I might be biased but I will take the iPad every. single. time.

If it's wifi only pair it with stratux and you'll be golden.

I have a friend that just bought a Samsung 6 and it's incredible. Then again, it's new and my iPad is almost 6 years old :)

As nice as Apple products are, having lived in tech for 30 years, I don't see the need to pay the Brand premium. I have owned Apple products before and I like the iPad I have so I am not planning on rushing out to buy a Samsung just because. The iPad is very nice, if old, and does the job well (or will, with the Stratux).

Thanks for the input. Nice to be confirmed...now if they would just ship the darn thing...
