Would someone please post some pictures of the iFly in night mode? Can it be dimmed down sufficiently to not interfere with night vision?

Also, someone please post a picture of the unit displaying an enroute chart. Also a picture showing vector mode.

You'd think these images would be available under More Info/Pictures, but they aren't.

Thanks,

Mike

Here is a pic in night mode. The unit can be also be dimmed - but tough to show that feature in a picture. Dimming alone helps a lot at night, in combination with using night mode it's excellent for night flights. But beyond this, you can use the remote to turn off the screen - the GPS will continue to operate and track your flight - then you can turn on the screen to spot-check your progress.

Thanks,
Walter

With all of those options it sounds like it would be great for night flying. Thanks.

I recently used iFly during night flight for the first time. The night vector mode was fine, and dimming the display to the maximum allowable dimmness works pretty well for the sectional. The only problem was during my next departure on a bright sunny day. I had forgotten to turn up the brightness when I turned it on to update the data base - it didn't look that dim in the house. However, in the bright sunlight it was kind of hard to locate the control to turn the brightness back up.

Easily brightened/dimmed with the remote.
