I think I noticed this on today's flight. The rings around the plane (mine seem to be 10 mi, and 25mi) appeared to only have labels at the North side of the rings. Either that or I just didn't notice them on the other side. At any rate, it would be nice to have the small labels for the distances on the lead side of the distance rings, based on the direction of flight. If they are, in fact, only on the North side of the rings, the only time they would be visble is when travelling Northbound. I'd double check this myself, but I left the power cords in the plane.

You are correct - they are just on the North side. My original intent with this feature was that the color would indicate the distance, and the labels would just be used for a while until you got used to the coloring. But even after all this time, and even though I wrote the code, I can never remember which color is what. So getting they better annotated is a good idea.

Jim,

What a great idea. I do that on my computer flight planners, and having it on the iFly would help for multi day crosscountries where I don't bring the computer with me.

ENHANCEMENT REQUEST TO DISTANCE RINGS:

1. Distance rings - option for 'light' or 'dark' color on rings. Right now the stock color/shade is light and hard to see (for moi). Making it darker/more distinct would be very helpful. I am color blind and often darker/lighter shades of colors make a huge difference in visibility.

2. Distance rings - having the distance value moved from the top of the ring, to either the right (2 oclock position) or left side (10 oclock position). Example: if I am zoomed in so that the 2 nm ring is visible, I cannot see the
distance value on the next, larger sized ring. Because it is at the top of the screen and not visible. Same issue if the '5nm' numbers are visible, the '10 nm' number cannot be
seed at the top of the screen

This would cause the range labels to disappear completely behind the instruments for those of us who park our enlarged instruments double rows on the left and right side of the screen. I vote for leaving the labels where they can be seen along the airplane's track. --Ralph
