one thing i miss on IFly from FltPlan Go is the ability to show SIDS and STARS on the map.  I can place them in my flight plan, but the only way to place them on the map is to enter the waypoints manually, which then adds redundancy to the flt plan, in some cases, they only way to add a waypoint is to put GPS coordinate in (not very convenient, while flying.  When you select an approach it is added to the flight plan and also to the map, why are the SIDS and STars also not shown on the map. Other EFB's also will show you all availble SIDS and Stars on the map in order to make it easier to select which one is the best for your fligth.  Something to consider adding to you program.

Kent, I think you have found a bug.  I was about to write a reply expressing confusion, because I use SIDs and STARs all the time and they show the map just fine.  But then I fired up iFly to grab some screen shots, and one of my commonly-assigned flight plans is now showing the behavior you describe.  In my case, it appears that the SIDs and STARs were correctly downloaded for KTKI, but none of the SIDs and STARs were downloaded for T41.

The example I was going to use is KTKI > T41, with SID JOE POOL ONE and STAR BLUEBELL FOUR.  I have flown this many times over many years, and iFly usually loads it up just fine.

When I select the JPOOL departure, it behaves as expected--there are multiple transitions, and I select CLL to match my clearance, expecting to also select the CLL transition for the BLUB arrival.  However, this time, the Bluebell page appears with a red border, and none of the transitions are available to select. Tapping the Done button causes this message to pop up:  "The STAR you have loaded does not have associated procedure data or waypoints provided by the FAA.  This plate will show up in your Flight Plan, but will have no waypoints associated with it.  If you want to add the associated waypoints, you can do this manually on the map and altitude planner."  Also, returning to the Flight Plan page, there are rendering errors--the green box that I'd expect to be drawn around the JPOOL leg extends all the way to the right side of the screen, drawing through the distance/time/fuel numbers.

It appears that all of the T41 STARs behave this way.

Building the flight plan for my travel in the opposite direction is similar:  T41 > KTKI, then select the GIFFA NINE departure and YEAGR THREE arrival.  In this case, GIFFA NINE is red-bordered and I can choose no transition, but YEAGR THREE works as expected.

AP:  Why are some airports' data not downloading correctly?

Maybe an additional clue:

I was able to duplicate this on a different device (first observation on Win10, then duplicated on Android).  I watched closely while data was being updated on the Android, and noticed when it got to the "P-xxx" updates, it only showed a fraction of the TX airports, including HOU but not T41.  So I tried replicating my flight plan from KTKI > T41, and got the same behavior--BLUEBELL FOUR was a red-bordered plate with no waypoint data.

But then I cleared out that flight plan, and built one from KTKI to KHOU.  This time, BLUEBELL FOUR behaved correctly--I was able to select the CLL transition, all the waypoints loaded, and it showed up correctly in the flght plan.

So again, it looks like data for some airports is not downloading properly--it's an airport data issue, not a STAR or SID data issue.

FYI, I sent in a couple of bug reports that captured my data update as well as fiddling around with building these flight plans.  Hopefully they will help shed light on what's going on.

Brian, Brolin, Walter...any word on this?  I have confirmed that this data issue affects all of my devices, so it's probably an issue that affects all users.
