The existing Text Viewer feature is helpful to view existing text files, but a Test Editor would be an even better feature to quickly create a To Do List, Check List , etc....

Can this be easily added as a new feature?

Does any one know of a Text Editor that would work on this device to editor and/or create text files?

Richard

Todo list management is on the list; will be part of a future release.

Thanks,

Is the text viewer suitable to display all of the usual flight and instrument manuals that I carry in the plane? Can I put them on an SD card and view them with the adventure pilot?

Probably not...it doesn't support images. Really need a PDF viewer. We're pricing some options for including in a future release, I'm not aware of a free one that would suffice.

There are several free PDF viewers out there, but I don't know what sort of limitation there might be in finding one to run on the iFly's platform. You probably already know this, but Wikipedia has a convenient list of free / open source readers (here), and this article has a brief pro/con review of several free readers.

Are there any particular technical deficiencies you've noted in the free readers you've checked, or is it more of a licensing issue (free for individual use but not commercial use, etc.)?
