I had a client mention that uAvionix had some kind of an internal fix for this - i don't recall who it was but it was about a month ago. Might want to check w/ them. i'll check my resources here bc i remember there was something about how they had to distribute it themselves.

Thanks Brolin!  I just logged a support ticket wtih uAvionix.  For whatever reason I was under the assumption that iFlyGPS was part of uAvionix.   I'll let you know what they have to say.

Brolin, you're talking about this thread by Don Maxwell:  https://www.iflygps.com/Support/Forum...ope/posts#49538

You'll note his post from 9/11/2021 2:20 PM near the end of the thread reports that the "fix"...well, didn't fix it.  (Don also says he emailed you with more details.)

I'm four for four sad.

I contacted Uavionix and installed a new (not yet released) version of the wifi firmware, pingWifi-1_3_4.bin.  10 minutes into flight I get the dreaded Networking Error dialg box.  Frustrating!

I landed and attempted to configure my 740 with a static IP address using the following parameters

198.164.4.108 (static IP)
255.255.255.0 (mask)
0.0.0.0  (router)
198.164.4.1 (DNS)

I could not get the above to work either on the 740 or my iPhone.

At home, sitting in your comfy chair, a networking error can be considered benign, albeit frustrating.   In flight, it's a safety issue.   Walter, what is iFly GPS's position on this issue?   Is iFLY GPS actively working with Uavionix on a solution?  If not, can you put it in the backlog?

I'll shortly have access to another 740, so I will be well positioned to help test or gather additional information.   LMK what I can to do help out.

It would be immensely helpful fi iFlyGPS could at least confirm a validate a static IP address configuration that can be used with the EchoUAT.

Thanks in advance for sharing what actions iFLYGPS will be taking to address this problem.

I did receive an email from David that stated, "I talked to Brolin at Adventure pilot and he will be researching the problem with Walter.  He suspects that it may be a 740 WIFI challenge."

Does that align with your understanding?
