Hi Rick,

The problem we are discussing here is related to iFly losing connections to an Echo UAT transceiver.  This frequently occurs when you have mutliple devices connected to the Echo UAT.    When this occurs you will get the Windows CE Networking error message displayed on your 740 device.  The iFly application running on an iPhone or iPad may or may not recover.  This is a PIA issue for me since I have my 740 mounted on my panel  and use it to drive my autopilot.   Errors on the panel can be a distraction and a safety issue.

How can you fix this?  I installed a new version of the  WIFI software from Uavionx.  I can now reliably run my 740 without issues, connected to my Echo UAT, if I *don't* connect any other devices.  If I connect another device the  CE Networking error message will eventually appear.  The solution is a compromise.  I'll have my iPhone or iPad running iFly with WFIF disabled as my backup.   David Wagner @ Uavionix told me that he has spoken to Walter about this problem and that iFly is trying to solve this problem.  It's not clear to me if this is an iFly issue or Uavionix issue.  If it's a Uavionix issue and they can't solve it, then iFly would need to be able to detect the failure and institue an autorecovery procedure.  Waiting to get an update from Brolin or Walter.

So if you are connecting multiple devices to your Echo UAT.  Try just connecting one device and see if the problem goes away.  If it doesn't contact Uavionix and ask for the new Echo UAT wifi software release.  It's easy to install.   Hope this helps.
