How do you "start" a flight?  I'm doing VFR training while working toward my PPL, so we don't file a flight plan (at least not via the app).  How do I get iFly to "start" recording the flight?  I hope this question makes sense.

I only have the 740, Windows, and IOS versions.  But in them, you "press" the History button on the bottom right of the screen, then select "Show Past Flight Trails..."   Then select the date and time you want.  Of course I suppose this would only work if you've already used the device with iFly to navigate from one place to another.

I'm sure an Android expert will chime in here and give you the correct method if this isn't quite correct.  But this may give you enough of a hint to figure it out.

Yea, I found that.  But if we're just flying around (not really navigating), how do you start it "recording"?  Or do you have to have it navigate somewhere?

You just need to make sure your "Show flight trails" option is turned on in the setup/map settings menu.

Nothing else to do.  Your flight trail should show up and it will be recorded and available in "past flight trails"

I think that's what I'm looking for.  So I turn on that setting, and have iFly running when we get into the plane.  I'll try it!  Thank you!
