Dave, I have been using ES File Explorer but haven't been able to find the files that Walter mentioned. I assume that's becaue Android is hiding some directories. Do you know of another file manager app that will show more?
ES File Explorer is about as good as you can get for this. If your OS port (the one modified by the manufacturer of your device) hides those files and they can't be accessed without rooting, regardless of the file manager you use.
Have you tried searching for "AircraftProfiles.config" without regard to the name of the directory? I would do the search from the device root (not the root folder) because that should reach the device, internal, and SD storages. It will probably take some time to complete the search so be patient.
