Sorry Tinker, not sure I'm gonna be able to direct you further. Our \User folder is allocated to the app by the OS, it's not part of our data folders which are easier to find. And I'm not familiar enough with Android internals to know if this is accessable short of jailbreaking your device.

That's probably the case. There are a number of folders that are not accessible without root access. The root user one is pretty typical.

Makes sense. It also implies that the airplane profiles are going to be private to the current user of the machine. Other users will have to create their own profiles. I can see advantages and disadvantages to this.

But it does appear that easy editing of profiles is not currently in the cards. As I said in the original post, the ability to do this will become more important when profiles include weight & balance envelopes. I hope when that day comes, that the developers will consider a more user-accessible profile system. At one point, Shane told me that a library of user-contributed profiles was probably in the cards. For that, unless the developers want to create a whole new UI to load, save, and manage profiles it would be most straightforward to implement them as simple text files in a folde that is accessible to users.

same topic, different bug notice

When inputting an aircraft that is not known to ifly, ifly will NOT accept it and automatically reverts to zzz or somesuch, also deleting other pertinent airplane data. Very annoying.

I could not reproduce this behavior. For version 9, we are allowing you to hand-enter the aircraft type, in case it's not in our database. When I selected "zzzz" as you indicated, for me, it did not change any other profile settings. If you can still reproduce this, please email support@adventurepilot.com, so that we can figure out what is going wrong.

What am I missing here? In the General Discussion section there was mention of a Whitman Tailwind in the aircraft profiles. I take this to mean that somewhere hidden in the app is a list of aircraft that one can select performance information for. But I do not see that anywhere, nor do I see the user files referred to above. Explanation would be much appreciated!
