iPad options for iFlY are never or while I use. Other apps have the always option.

I am starting to think this may be a problem with iFlY GPS status tool and not actually losing GPS position. In my back yard with full view of the sky, iFlY  GPS status will change from 3 bars to no position. Then a minute later it will switch back to 3 bars. This just continues on and on.

External device, Dual 170 is still OK. I only have a concern with the internal iPad GPS.

I hope Brian will give us some insight.,

I use a Stratux for my GPS position even though my iPad Mini 4 has an internal GPS receiver.

I've been using iFly on my iPad running iOS 11 with no issues found.

This was the only thing I noticed. I sent a bug report to Brian, today he replied saying he is looking at it.

It got my attention because I frequently use iFlY with the internal iPad GPS. I don’t think it is actually losing position, I think whatever logic is setting off the warning flag is the problem.

I posted it here to see if others have noted this. Very minor problem for sure. I just want to make sure Brian has all the information possible to make iFLY glitch free.

Again, only noticed this after iOS update.

For those who are using Dual GPS devices with iFly...........

Good Afternoon,

You are correct. The old 170 status tool will not work with iOS 11 however the new ADS-B status toos (red icon with Ads-B highlighted with a black bar at the bottom) will indeed work just fine with your 170 and iOS 11. The App version is 1.6.0

Sincerely,

XGPS Tech Support
