Hi everyone,

I took my IFlyGPS out today for the first time after purchasing it with a Dual170 at Oshkosh. It worked great I really like it better than FF.

One thing that has been bothering me lately when flying with my IPad is that I have to look down on the kneepad. It takes a way my forward view and keeping an eye out there. I currently rent a Cessna 162 Skycatcher and I am trying to figure out which suction arm or gizmo to use. I made a pictures that show the dashboard and possible mounting options. the top of the dash does not seem to hold a suction cap. I tried it with my Garmin Virb but it would not seal. This complicates things.

I wanted to hear what others have done or currently use to mount an iPad for use with IFlyGPS.

See the pictures here picasaweb.google.com/1099150185159272...

thanks,

Peter

I use a RAM suction cup mount with my IPad Mini 3 flying a SkyCatcher and Remos. It sticks on the windshield on the extreme left side and does not cover up any instruments. A full sized tablet would probably be too large.

Thanks Oldpilot,

so you stick it to the side window on the left? Does it block your view that direction? Do you switch hands on the stick when you need to select something? That was my reason to see if I could do something on my right side.

Thanks,

Peter

I stick it on the windshield, not the side window. I am left handed, so I fly with my right hand and use my left hand to operate the tablet.

This is my Nexus 7 before I got the IPad Mini 3.
