Where are the Release Notes for the new software version?

Just installed it...

I am sure it is an improvement, but one thing I saw kind of throws me off a bit...

The new button to offer you the scratch pad now takes away (at least on my machine) the "alert/setup" button, meaning I now have to go back to the "menu" page and find it there, then an extra click to bring up that layered menu deeper down...no big deal, just a surprise and an extra couple of clicks for me in flight.

I do not think I will use the scratchpad much - old habits die hard and I like having my notes on paper on a kneeboard. I have one of those pens that is BOTH a soft stylus AND a pen, so I can use it for both...actually have 2-3 of these around the cockpit.

I do not want to clutter my EFB info AND I want a record of my conversations with ATC on paper where I do not delete it by accident...that's just me. I am sure most other pilots will differ and I am glad this function helps them. I also refer back to my notes with updated freqs for next time, etc., like many of you.

Thanks IFly for continually making the system better and listening to the pilots for good ideas.

Love what you have done with the place! Continuous improvement. What a concept.

I especially like the new Flight Plan format that I have been asking for. Thanks.

That said, I do have a question. Don't know if this has to do with the change, but here it is.

My friend has a 9" Apple tablet. He is currently using a Stratux (Rasberry Pi 3). He can not get the tablet to show targets even though when you go to settings>WiFi, it shows that his WiFi is connected to Stratux.

Yet I can see his Stratux info on my Android tablet and he can see the Uavionix ADSB signal from my aircraft on his Apple tablet and targets are presented.

The IPA address the Stratux uses is not what his tablet sees. He tried to set the IPA manually and for a brief time...a few seconds...we could see targets then the tablet went back to another address. Not the Stratux address.

He tried to call your group, but could get no answer so he left a message.

The Sketch button was put on the main page so you could quickly get back to the last Sketch you made.  For example:  If you used the CRAFT Sketch you could, at any point, press the Sketch button to refresh your memory any of the things in the CRAFT notes, or add new items to that list.

The Sketch feature also allows you to draw on the map, whether you want to circle a site on the ground, write a frequency at a certain point, or whatever else you choose to annotate.

LIke you, I have my doubts as to how much I'll use this feature, but a few years ago I never imagined I'd be carrying a phone everywhere I went.  So, we'll see.
