Custom locations is a good idea. Would be even better if you could pick a custom location, hit a "go to" button, and your course would show up on the map. Out west here, most of our flying is kind of long distance and to saved custom locations.
Just trying to make the 700 even better.

Ozzie: You can enter any Custom Location in your flight plans and you can do a Direct To to any custom location in the flight plan. When you are building the flight plan and "searching" for the waypoint name, just make sure that you remember to select Custom Locations instead of airport identifiers or nav aids and fixes. Enjoy! ===Ralph

Top of my wish list also Ozzie. We fly out west on Fires and many diverse missions where easy custom location(user waypoint) is paramount. The extra steps, (select from menu or direct press, more options, edit custom location, select flight plan, enter waypoint ID, search, select, done), is cumbersom for us also. If we could access a 'Direct To' like you suggest even from custom waypoint enter/edit menus would improve UI for the likes of us.

What I would prefer is, Long press screen,- then on pop up menu 'enter custom location' - then 'Direct to' option.

Again, top of my wish list for a unit we are installing in Bell 205 for contract work.

Carl
