I didn't know the IFly had vertical rate readout which it doesn't, only GPS altitude. I suppose with a separate pressure sensor and spare computer capability available in the box, they could make the conversion and then a readout and for you a vocal. I flew floatplanes for over 20 years and did lots of glassy water landings without a mishap. I personally would hate to see AP spend their time on a gimmick for a small fraction of pilots.

Aw, crap.  How the heck did I screw THAT up!  Of course you're right. I must have been wishfull-thinking again.  Sorry!  And thanks for correcting me so politely!

(I had just been in a discussion on the Searey Technical Site with a builder flying off the Phase One 40 hours and having trouble with glassy-water landings.)
