After panning to a point on the map and re-centering on your present position, it would be nice to have a button to return the panned position directly. If you're watching the weather somewhere off your current screen you could jump back and forth easily.

I like this idea for at least two reasons:

1) the "Center" button already has a dual flip/flop function now in taxi mode, where you can toggle between airport diagram and map when in Ground Mode. So a flip/flop toggle function in flight mode would be similar functionality.

2) Assigning a flip/flop function to the "Center" button in Flight Mode would always keep the Center button alive. As it stands now, the button disappears and stuff jumps and and down (stuff like Sectional/TAC selector and Alert icon) when the Center button appears and disappears. (Would have to make it so that Animate RADAR always goes above Center button.)

Annnddd with all respect to the AP folks, this is exactly why users need a better way to keep up with all the features of iFly. Geez, I've wondered why sometimes I get the airport taxi diagram and sometimes I don't.

Now I know.

If I had the time (I don't) it would be fun to make videos and/or write a wiki about using iFly. (iFly might be able to start a wiki and let authorized users add to it.)

But I think that, for some features, it would be like playing Dungeons and Dragons, where you have to see the source code to know all the neat things you can do.
