In the flight planner it would be nice if you could simply select "Current Location" as the Departure Point for a new flight plan. I know you can highlight the plane, create custom location and then use that as the fix for a new flight plan, but that is somewhat cumbersome. It would be nice to have a buttom or selection right on the flight plan form for "Current Location".

if you click on the Flight Plan button, your present position should be the top line, then click on "Add Waypoint". The keyboard then shows up and enter the indentifier where you want to go. Then click on "Select' and it shows the identifier in the flight plan in position 2. Then click on "continue" and you are back on the map page with the course line to destination in magenta.

Another way to initiate a new flight plan is to touch "Menu" / "Fly Direct To". Then insert waypoints either through the map or the flight planner.

Thanks for the answer. I was missing the point that you first need to clear the flight plan. Thanks for the response!

One issue that I have had with flight plans is that as I am making random spots on the map for sight seeing, for example going North, and then when I come back South, it takes one of the points on the northbound leg and moves it to the southbound leg. Anyone have any ideas on that?
