Keep up the good work and Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Happy New Year. (too late for Festivus)

Wish list item - make the updates easier.
When deleting the last chart updates on the thumb drive, place on the thumb drive the list of current charts (all of them on the actual iFly 700 device). When hooking up to the computer, software could compare the latest chart dates to the dates in the iFly reflected on the thumb drive and select the ones that are out-of-date and create an update file that has all the latest updated charts.

This not the most important item I would like but just putting it on the list.

Great idea. We will look into doing something like this.

As I use a number of thumb drives for various computer tasks, I'd suggest that the sectionals' release date or edition number be stored on the owner's computer. (I assume that the iFly creates its own Adventure Pilot folder on the owner's computer.)

Depends, if my wife is using the laptop, I'll download from the old computer, but I have a dedicated iFly USB drive.

I think it would work best to store the information in the user's profile on the ifly.adventurepilot.com server. It could have preferences such as "what charts I want to keep current", "what charts/plates/software were already downloaded", and it could automatically build a new package based on what has changed since last download. It would have to assume that what was already downloaded has been installed. If someone downloads something, but doesn't install it, then it'll be up to him to manually update those charts out of sync.

BTW, whichever way the updates are changed, I think some way of simplifying updates is a great idea.

I second the idea of having the information on the iFly server. I use several computers to download updates as well.

If the comparing dates was a problem/longer term solution, perhaps a "check all" button (at least on the approach plates). Then you could uncheck the few plates you may not want.
