While I have used the multiple altitudes option, I always entered them from the navlog page. Just out of curiosty I tried entering from the map (option selected in the vert profile options button.) I can easily reproduce the problem, that is, select a waypoint on the map, raise or lower the altitude for that waypoint, and all other waypoints change to the most recently entered altitude. I did notice that when I pulled up the vertical planning view back up, the "multiple altitudes" checkbox would be unchecked. I think this option is being lost (unchecked) somewhere in the code when switching to the select altitudes on map view.

With that said, I was able to get it to work with the following procedure:

  1. Enter you waypoints
  2. Open the flight plan
  3. Check the multiple altitudes checkbox
  4. Set the altitude for the first after take off waypoint in the flight plan view
  5. Now select the options to select 'select altitudes on map'
  6. Now you can select each waypoint and enter the altitude and it will only change for that waypoint segment

Notice now that when you return to the vertical altitudes view from the map that the multiple altitudes checkbox is still checked!

Well, I don't know if this helps but I'm thinking it is an ordering error in the code. Or maybe I just don't know how it is supposed to work! Incomplete intructions in the latest manual don't help!

@Brolin - Could you please acknowledge this as a bug?  Has it been added to bug list? Think the issue is pretty clear from the video I attached and has now been confirmed by additional user testing.

Thanks.

Hey - thought I replied to this a while ago.

I've forwarded this on to my software engineers. Thanks for flagging it!
