Hey! I'm a Marine flight student currently flying the TH-57, and I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 to use as an electronic kneeboard. I have spent several hours toying around with about 7 different programs trying to find something suitable for me. iFly GPS is one of the best ones that I've tried. It has a slick, intuitive interface perfect for planning, flying, and shooting approaches with geo-referenced plates.

The one glaring problem, however, is the graphical resolution. My tablet has a resolution of 2048x1536, and this app looks like it was designed for something far lower and just blown up. I know that apps have to be scalable with different devices all with different capabilities and different resolutions, but compared to the other similar apps everything looks a little pixelated and blurry. Not just pictures, icons, and approach plates; even things that should be vectors, like the lines showing your flight route, and even text. It's not terrible, but it is definitely noticable.
I still think this is one of the best flying apps out there, but I am curious if you guys are planning on overhauling things to make it look cleaner and more crisp in some future release.

Have you set the screen setting to tablet instead of phone. Makes a big difference on my tablet.

I am using a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the display is crisp and clear. In portrait mode with the width of the display set to 6.8nm, I see no pixilation. and approach plates are perfectly legible in full screen mode. Take a look at the images posted in the Pictures and Feedback section of the forum and see how that compares with your device.

Here are some screenshots.

The text and icons don't look somewhat pixelated to you? Not the IFR chart...I get that. But the text of the app itself...and the approach plate.

Pixilation, no, but some loss in sharpness in the plate. I find that screen shots on my Galaxy lose some sharpness compared to the actual screen. Even so, a shot of an approach plate taken from my tablet is obviously sharper than your posted approach plate. Allowing for the loss in resolution of the photo, I would have though that the original would be perfectly readable if not too crisp. I think that your resolution problem is hardware related, and not a function of the program itself.
