Two Suggestions:

The Aircraft Profile section should include separate airspeed and fuel burn entries for each flight phase -- Climb, Cruise, Decent. Right now there is only a single entry for airspeed and a single one for fuel burn. This will make computing total time and fuel burn for the flight more accurate.

Also, the estimated flight time in the planner does not change with altitude or if the route is reversed. This leads me to believe that winds aloft information in not being used in the computation. It should be.

iFly Development Team - Any chance these improvements are on the to-do list?

Greg, these are on the wishlist. Adding Winds Aloft predictions is in development and coming soon. Variable fuel burn will follow that fairly quickly.

Thanks!

Here is what I am hoping is the long-term strategy for airplane profiles:

  • Documentation Section: Mostly stuff that goes into flight plan boxes.
  • Performance Section: Maybe increasingly detailed as the app matures, with features like Greg suggests..
  • W&B Section

Finally, make the airplane profiles simple text documents so new profiles can be created by copying and editing an existing profile. For example. I have four 182T tail numbers that I fly for CAP. Entering all that data four times is a giant PITA and error-prone besides. If I could just create one profile, then copy and edit it for each different tail number and empty weight that would be ideal.

Also, once profiles are simple text files you can create a user-built library so, for example, if I am going to fly a PA-32 I can download another user's PA-32 profile, then check and edit it to suit.
