Every time I plan a flight, the altitude optimized is almost always 2,500. It shows that winds are included. I can plan a flight both ways, forward and reverse, and its still 2,500 optimized. So am I to understand that every long flight I go on should be done at 2,500? Surely that can't be. I can slide the slider up to higher altitudes and the time almost always increases

This happen for everyone on the iFly app?

Mine works as expected up to my max altitude of 12,500 feet, which I input on the aircraft performance window.  Make sure your aircraft performance numbers are correct.

Mine is set to 12500 as well.

As an example, current plan is KCXO KHOT KHVC. It optimizes to 2,500 both ways.

Interesting... well, I think the calc also considers climb rate, fuel burn in climb, and such to compute the "optimum" altitude.  You might also check those performance numbers for a clue.

They are set correctly.

Also, I just tested saving max altitude to 55000 and it still optimizes both ways to 2500.

Something isn't right.
