Hi Dave -

Have you tried a different SD card, in case the one you're using is bad? An advantage of the 740 is that you can have multiple SD cards loaded with the software, for just such occasions. If that doesn't work, I suggest you shoot an email to support@adventurepilot.com. They provide these forums mainly so iFly users can help other iFly users, and they don't regularly monitor the discussions. It sounds like you have an issue they'd want to address quickly:

Yes, I tried another card with the same outcome. I went ahead and dropped a note to support.

Well as luck would have it, I flew to the beach last Wednesday and the 740 worked fine. Fired it up today for the return home, and I got the esectional error. Tried my backup card, and same error. Funny thing is, it never had an internet connection for it to download or change anything - only a Stratux ADS-B connection in flight. I'll be sending my own support request shortly..

The problem was some sort of glitch in the download, now resolved by Ifly. Great customer service!!

Different 740 freeze issue. Was practicing night flying last evening and during the runup my 740 was in night mode, showing the airport map. I wanted to extend the runways so tried to exit from the airport map, and the whole device froze. Would not respond to any touch at all. Luckily I was not flying. I had to power down and reboot, then it seemed to work fine. Anyone else had this issue?
