The panel in my experimental Searey is the Skyview Touch with the SV-XPNDR-261 and SV-ADSB-470 modules, and an iFly 740.

So I have full traffic and weather display on my Skyview.  Part of Skyview's newest release 15 is:

  • ADS-B Traffic and Weather from SkyView’s SV-ADSB-470 is now transmitted via Wi-Fi for use by 3rd party apps (FlyQ, etc)

And my iFly 740 has WI-FI.  So is it possible for the 740 to pickup and use this signal to also display traffic/weather.  If not... when?  It bothers me that I have a 2020 compliant ADS-B signal in my plane that is not being utilized by my WI-FI enabled 740.

You can try the new "AUTO DETECT" feature and iFly may be able to communicate with it already. If not, go thru the list of devices, selecting each one and waiting at least 30 seconds for the handshake to occur before trying the next one. "Freeflight" uses a popular data format; maybe it'll work. Assuming Dynon is open with their data format, it shouldn't take long for Adventure Pilot to add it to the available devices. Good luck!

Yes please be patient, we have had mixed reports from users about Dynon ADSB working.  We will be working with Dynon to try and get a device in our shop so we can get this tested and finished.
