Hello I purchased a used I-pad gen1 from a fellow RV driver with xgps150 and would like to take advantage of the great deal from ifly on chart sub for my 720 and new ipad how does it work with the first gen. Thanks Bob

Ed,
You should verify with your ios developer that it's compiled for ios5 and higher. If not it will not launch on the original ipad. I recently updated the target versions to io6 with our products to drop support for the original ipad. A new feature of the app store, introduced with ios7, allows the old version to be available but only ipad2's and newer can install or update the new version.

I tried to load app on my Gen1 ipad today from app store got a message that 6.01 was need to launch app is there a chance you could make the app available to older ipads. Bob

Upgrade your iPad. The refurbs are really good deals. http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad I get all my ipads here, both personal and professional.
