Well, yet another great weekend flying trip...

Since most stuff is closed or greatly locked-down here in the NE USA, we have more time to FLY and go places together that are still limited but open...

So, we had an early morning flight to Wyoming....Wyoming, PA that is, and found a little old place called the Colonial House for breakfast...bunch of us went. We always have a fun time flying and finding these places to eat...

Good times flying IFR....I FOLLOW RIVERS...all the way from Carlisle to Wyoming, PA.

All welcome if you want to join us...

Visit to a small backyard aerodrome to get a paint the plane estimate...nice place!

Circle W Aerodrome near New Berlin, PA (close to York Thomasville Airport).

Looked a little tight, but landed and departed OK without pax or a full fuel load, and early in the day before the heat/density altitude.

Good times with wingmen! These little airports are the heart and soul of general aviation!

Mike N714AJ

Early Saturday AM - getting over the scud.

Oh, there is one of the LAST DRIVE - IN Theaters in America...neat-o!

Yup, another aviator up early to go do some aviating in a beautiful yellow bi-plane...looks pretty cool.

Thanks for helping me find this little place, iFly! Good on all of yinz!

Well, lookee there -  Circle W and home of Weaver Aircraft Restoration!  Looks good to me...short but OK!

Well, the trailing edge of the aerodrome looks ok to me...if I had to do a go - around.

The middle of the field looks OK to me as well - let's look a bit more and give it a try - first time here!

The approach end, 01, looks to be ok once I clear those trees to land on the line...can do.

On FINAL - time to put the camera down and focus on a short and soft field landing at this aerodrome I am coming to for the first time...

On the ground -- NOT TOO SHABBY....

And here comes my wingman! Good landing old buddy!

Time for a paint job - got my money's worth out of that paint that has been on AJ since 1976! Going with the SAME SCHEME as it is a "Bicentennial Theme" and I love the USA.

Going RETRO and RED, WHITE, and BLUE!

Well, will you lookee there - a 6-8 point buck taking a gander at the planes that landed on HIS field! Beautiful!

My painter flies THIS...very cool.

Cliff is also restoring THIS beaufiful Beech - 18! It is magnificent!

He also flies THESE - almost 100 of them!

Cliff can restore ANYTHING....

Old HOT ROD comes to life...

ALL good airports have a panapoly of good dogs and cats wondering around oblivious to engine noise...this is the clear sign of a highly - functional and friendly aerodrome!

We "slap the table" and agree on a price and timeline....now time to let Cliff back back to home/family and work!

And the short, soft field departure works fine -- off to the next place for some chow with my wingman!

Going in for a paint job soon!

Wingman in flight!

CRAB CAKE RUN!

Good outting on a day with iso cells here and there - iFly weather from the web and ADSB helps stay out of the "purple" and in the blue!

Very good Crabcake Samiches and Seafood Buele at the RUNWAY GRILLE at KHGR (Hagerstown, MD).

The WINGMEN had a great time here - worth a "$100 Hamburger Run" for all ye' all. (two Cessnas and a Mooney -- 5 pilots total)

Mike N714AJ

They LITERALLY roll out the RED CARPET for you here - YES, even for a Ce$$na 150!

LOOK at that MAGNIFICENT Maryland CRAB CAKE! Superb!

Wingman Photos...

-MEATBALL RUN to Lancaster, PA!

-Had a good lunch at the Fiorentino's Flight Deck Restaurant at Lancaster Regional - always busy and always a good time!

-They have a lot of great MEATBALL dishes, so we go there from time to time for fun!

-Still have the PANDEMIC here so staying careful but still flying every weekend since March of 2020...

-All welcome!

Mike N714AJ

Broken at 1900' MSL.

The FISH FINDER keeps us safe....

Stacks of steam were actually touching the bottoms of the deck - interesting.

My buddy Fred is having new instruments put in his plane, so he is piloting with me for a while...

We are cleared for the straight-in to 08 at 10 miles out...nice.

Other departing traffic on the FISH FINDER is off to our starbord side forward...no factor.

 Whalla! On final...

Some other nice planes that came for LUNCH!

Yup, still in the PANDEMIC here in PA...but we are still flying every weekend.

This place is GREAT - fly in and give it a try!
