Seems like we've moved away from the GUMP checklist request that started this thread. But regarding the request to send a message about closing your Flight Plan, I'm confused. iFly does this already in the application.(Screen shot below.) Are you saying you want more than this? (As a side note, I've started using a trick I read about here or maybe AvWeb. When I open a VFR Flight Plan, I move my wrist watch to my other wrist.)

Yes, I am requesting a notification be sent to a device separate from the iFly device (i.e., my iPhone, iWatch, or my iPad's (or designated Android device) text message app. I want the reminder to follow me AFTER I park my plane so that I am more likely to make the call to close my flight plan.

This may or may not be feasible, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Maybe it would be easier for iFly to set an alarm/notification on your tablet after that pop up shows. That is, the pop up might offer a Snooze button, where, after 15 minutes iFly beeps (or voice alarms) to remind you to close your flight plan?

Or don't tap the Okay button on iFly until after you've called FSS?

Your suggestion seems to reflect Occam's Razor that assumes that the simplest answer is usually the most effective. It would sometimes be effective for my needs. But it assumes I always use same table or phone with iFly app both in and out of a plane.

I'm still not totally understanding your need. It sounds like you might have iFly on a tablet that you leave in your plane, but before you close your flight plan you leave the plane and tablet? You also have iFly on your phone, which perhaps runs as a backup and you take that with you when you leave the plane?

If so, then perhaps iFly could send the "Did you close your flight plan?" message from your in-plane tablet to your iFly phone in the same way that it shares flight plans.
