I would like to cast my vote for portrait too. I can say that if you offered a first pass at it (map only), I would definitely try it. However, that being said, I have enlarged all the "instruments" I like and arranged them along either side and thus the remaining real estate is starting to look a little more portrait-like. BTW, how about an option to show the plane in "follow plane" more like 1/4 to 1/3 up the screen. Then us track up guys would have the view ahead emphasized. This is really, at least for me, a big part (besides mounting advantages) of why we like portrait best. Come to think of it, I would like the plane to be 1/4 to 1/3 up in portrait also. I appreciate that it is easy to scan forward with a mere drag of my finger, but with this type of orientation you can look far ahead by just zooming out. This is, to me, even easier especially in turbulence.
