Walter,

I've had my IFly 700 for a while now and have no complaints, except maybe this one: I flew a rather long cross country this week, and had a lot of glare from the bright winter sun on my display. It is mounted with a bracket on the lower center part of my panel in my PA-28-160. I noticed a significant part of the glare came from the the shiny piano black frame on the display. I'm thinking of painting the frame flat black--this will reduce the glare and also match the rest of my King/Garmin avionics.

Have you thought of changing the finish on the display?

Allen

Yes, this is a consideration for our next hardware version...might be a while though.

Thanks!
Walter

If it is a problem try covering the edge with black electrical tape

I get lots of reflection from inside the cabin as well as outside. I need an anti-reflective screen coating of some kind. Are there any spray on product s out there?

Greetings All,

I had the same issue with the shiny reflective black bezel around the screen. I used matt black gaffers tape from a company called Markertek (product is TecNec BGT1-60 Black Gaffers Tape 1 Inch x 60 Yards) about $ 9.00. Electrical tape might be too glossy and would cause glare also.

Enjoy!

Paul
