Tim and Dave,

I have mine Velcro'd to the center console of my 172, just to the right of the Trim wheel. I heard one of our customers was thinking about using one of those zip cords and attaching it to his lower panel or overhead. Just a thought.

Velcro doesn't work for renters. My suggestion is to construct any future versions of the remote with a hole in it so I can attach it to a lanyard.

I made this suggestion a while ago http://ifly.adventurepilot.com/SUPPORT/Forum/tabid/108/forumid/8/threadid/9034/scope/posts/Default.aspx however I've already adapted mine so I can attach a lanyard. I have one of the early remotes, so they may have changed over time, but there's not much inside, and if you remove the batteries, and force your finger/thumbnail into the seam around the periphery of the remote it should eventually come apart. I threaded thin stainless steel wire in mine and secured it with hot glue (it should also insulate the wire from internal components). Once you get it apart, you should find plenty of room to drill a couple holes and thread a cord, or otherwise devise a method to attach the lanyard.
