Problem. you are in an FBO someplace in a trip, you want to update with Ifly Connect,
As of now, there is NO WAY to do this, without installing IFly Connect into the FBO pc, the ONLY place I can do it, is from my PC AT HOME, Could it be possible to Put IFly Connect on your IFly 700/720 SD Card and access IFly Connect from anywhere that way, In a word, make it "Portable"
Or Better Yet put Ifly on a Windows 8 platform

Ciao

Request noted. We've had a few other customers recently that want an alternative way of accessing iFly Connect, so this is something we're looking into.

Thanks!
Walter

Maybe one way of doing that is to have a web-based app with the functionality of iFly connect?

Java?

I like and second your suggestion.

IFly connect is the easiest and slickest way to update, but I presume you do know you can download updates to a USB stick (virtually every FBO PC has USB ports) and then plug stick in iFly?
Can also on 720 update via wifi .... Though if updating more than weather and TFRs I find wifi updates conecting slow and flaky.

Yes I do know about downloading to a USB stick, but in my experience most FBO have a slow broadband, 15/20 minutes to download, if and most likely "something" will happen, and you now, have to install it on the I fly no, I want IFly Connect, period!
Have a nice day Doc
